Friday, GCA students attended a GICAA Region Spelling Bee at Fullington Academy in Pinehurst, Ga. Three students walked away with top honors.
GCA Students who travelled to Spelling Bee were (L-R) Joshua Adams (4th grade), Claire Finger (5th grade), Lanie Gay (5th grade), and Mary Margaret Beckham (4th). Also shown in 5th grade teacher Heather Vickers.
5th grade student Claire Finger scored a 1st place finish in the 5th grade Spelling Bee.
Mary Margaret Beckham and Joshua Adams placed in top two spots of the 4th grade Spelling Bee. Adams was awarded 1st. Beckham 2nd place.
