Lanier and Belcher to compete at State GICAA Meet


GCA Middle Schoolers travelled to Albany to participate in the GICAA Geography and Spelling Bee.



Sixth Grader Jaden Belcher won 3rd place in the Region competition and will travel to Warner Robins on Saturday, Nov 3rd for the State meet.


The top 3 winners during the region Spelling Bee.


Jay Lanier placed 2nd in the GICAA Geography Bee.


The top six middle schoolers will travel to Warner Robins to compete in the state meet on Nov 2nd.

STATE CHAMPS!!

On Saturday, October 27th, the GCA Boys Cross Country Team travelled to Macon to compete in the State Cross Country Meet. They returned home with a little extra bling!!

TAPS Game

Thursday, Nov 1st will be our Annual TAPS (Teachers, Alumni, Parents, and Students) Basketball game. The game will begin at 7:00pm.

At Thursday's event, the Booster club will be selling the Pink out shirt which a percentage of the proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Awareness. Our student-athletes are also selling 50/50 raffle tickets that will help with the cause. The winner of the 50/50 drawing will be announced at Thursday night's game.



Jones Shares Pizza with Class

After selling over $500 in cookie dough at GCA's recent fundraiser, Jaylen Jones asked to share his reward with his fellow classmates. The whole Senior class enjoyed pizza from Uncle Bill's Friday.

The sixth graders enjoyed ice cream Friday for their efforts in the recent magazine/cookie dough fundraiser!

This week, Mrs. Vicker's 5th grade class swabbed several common areas at GCA
and then placed them in a petri dish. Their findings were gross. :)
