Cheerleaders Collect Games for Foster Children

After seeing a need communicated by The West Haven in Bainbridge, the GCA Varsity Cheerleaders went to work to collect games for local foster children. The West Haven's goal was 60 and our cheerleaders were able to donate 12 to the cause.

private camp July 28 - 30th.  They are now ready for the season!!

Cheerleader (Sideline) Meeting - Sept. 5th

There will be a Cheerleader Meeting for Sideline Cheerleaders and their Parents on Wednesday, Sept. 5th @ 4:20 to order uniform items.  This is a sideline meeting only!!

Cougars For A Cure

The GCA Cheerleaders will be hosting a Pink-Out on Friday, December 2nd at GCA's home baskeball games.  All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.  They are asking everyone to attend the game wearing their Cougar for a Cure t-shirt or a pink shirt.

The Cougar for a Cure t-shirt order form has been sent home with your child.  The shirts will be 15.00 and all orders need to be in by Friday, November 11th.  The day of the game, the cheerleaders will be selling Breast Cancer Ribbon Tattoos, and Pink Beads.
A Pep Rally will also be held on Dec. 2nd to honor family members of our students that are cancer survivors or are fighting the disease now.

Cheer Camp .... Lots of Fun!!!

Many thanks to the GCA Varsity Cheerleaders for hosting an awesome Cheer Camp this week!
Twenty-two 1st - 4th graders particiapted in the camp and had a great time learning all the new cheers, jumps, stunts, and even a dance routine. Thanks also to Murkerson Dance Academy for for the use of her gym!

Cheerleaders Receive 2nd At FCC Camp

Congratulations to the GCA Cheerleaders for getting 2nd in Camp Championship and Most Achieved at their FCC Camp the first week of June. The squad won numerous ribbons during the week and received a bid to Nationals which will be held Jan. 5-7th in Orlando, FL. Congratulations also to Abbey Smith for being selected as an All-Star Cheerleader....Way to Go Abbey!
