Our 5th grade students enjoyed showing off all that they have learned this year in World History.
Their presentations included their assigned geographic areas, customs, interesting facts, and even a favorite dish.

4th & 5th Grades Enjoy Agrirama in Tifton
GCA's 4th and 5th Grade students enjoyed a fun trip to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historical Village (Agrirama) in Tifton on Wednesday.

Georgia State Symbols
The 7th and 8th grade students are currently studying some of Georgia's most famous symbols. Mrs. White asked each student to research their symbol, write a short presentation and do a project. Here are a few pictures of some of the projects.

4th Graders Design Indian Homes
Mrs Sheffield's fourth grade class has been studying the early history of the United States. During their study, the students learned about the different Indian homes that existed during this time period. The students were given an example fo six of these dwellings and asked to make a replica of one of them. Pictured are Gabe Parker, Brycelyn Law, Kate McRae, and Garrett Donalson.

Wax Museum On Display April 28th
On April 28th we had an exciting day at GCA. We had a number of very famous people visit our halls and educate our students. People like; Betsy Ross, William Howard Taft, Jackie Kennedy, Rosa Parks and even Johnny Cash.
GCA 6th & 7th Grade students hosted our annual Wax Museum for students, parents and the public. They did an amazing job and everyone really enjoyed this educational day.

Grace Receives Handbooks
Karen Cooper of Woodmen of the World Lodge 28 in Bainbridge recently presented "The American Patriots Handbook" to Mrs. Sheffield's fourth-grade class. "The American Patriots Handbook" contains information on the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and history of the American flag, as well as a biography of each U.S. president.

Students Enjoy Civil War Demonstration


GCA students enjoyed a wonderful Civil War Demonstration recently where they learned what life was like for a confederate soldier. They got an opportunity to learn about the uniforms, the roles of each unit, camp set-up, battle positions, and see the guns fire. GCA junior, T.J. Carlisle, assisted with the demonstration.
