STATE CHAMPS!!

On Saturday, October 27th, the GCA Boys Cross Country Team travelled to Macon to compete in the State Cross Country Meet. They returned home with a little extra bling!!

Cross Country Post Improved Times

The Cougar Cross Country team proudly represented GCA at the BHS Bearcat Invitational on Saturday, 15 September. 
Gabe Parker led the Varsity Boys with a course personal record time. Lilah Widner led the Varsity Girls. Isaac Friedman, Abigail Anderson, Ruth Carraway, and Emellia Woodrum all significantly improved their race times. Owen Earnest led the Middle School, and Ben York, Preston Barnett, Caroline Grubbs, and Jaden Belcher all significantly improved their race times. 
The Cougars run next week (22 September) in Albany at Albany State University - Darton at the Deerfield-Windsor Invitational.

First Cross Country Meet a Success


GCA’s Cross Country ran their first meet of the season on Saturday in Tallahassee at the Godby High Cougar Challenge. 
All runners ran well and started the season strong. Returning runners posted faster early season times than past years.
Lead Runners for Varsity Boys were Wyatt Carpenter and Jack Holden.
Lilah and Callie Widner led the Varsity girls.
Caroline Grubbs represented middle school girls.
Owen Earnest led the middle school boys followed by Ben York.

The Cougar Harriers compete next on September 15th at the BHS Invitational.
