Art Classes Create Joy!

Mrs. Ragan's art classes are hoping to bring joy to some of our local nursing home patients.  They are painting ceiling tiles for their rooms.
Many thank to Senior Harley Cooper for taking the lead on this project.

Interact Students help KAH



Students from the GCA Interact Club helped the Bainbridge Rotary Club and the KAH (Kids Against Hunger) program pack over 7,000 meals yesterday.

4th grade helps with Hurricane Irma cleanup!





Many thanks to Mrs. Brock's 4th grade PE class for helping clean up the playground following the hurricane.  They did such a great job!  Please take a minute and tell them thank you when you see them!

SGA Donates "Back The Blue Blessing Bags"

The Student Government Association sponsored a spring mission project to help those in need in our community.  They created "Back The Blue Blessing Bags" which contain assorted items like hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, tissues, and snacks.  These bags were delivered yesterday to Bainbridge Public Safety and our officers will give them out when they see a need.

4th & 5th Grades Help Tornado Victims




GCA's 4th & 5th graders wanted to help out and give back to those in need.  Last week they gathered drinks and cleaning supplies for the Dec. Co. Sheriffs Dept. to take to tornado victims in Albany and surrounding areas.

GCA Donates over 900 items in Coat Drive


GCA's 10th grade class participated in the annual Coat & Blanket Drive again this year.   For only two weeks in November, they were able to collect over 900 items.  Carley Godwin organized the drive and worked with Stephanie Poitevint from the DCBOE to make the connection between the schools and social workers in our community so families in Decatur County will be a little warmer!  Mrs. Worsley's 4th grade class won the party and many, many thanks to Rick Ragan with 5 Points Cleaners for graciously cleaning the multitude of coats, blankets, and other warm clothing.

Giving on Game Day is this Friday, November 20th.  We are asking all Cougar fans to please bring new or gently used coats, blankets, gloves, hats, etc. to our home basketball game.  Please bring these items to help our school give back to the community!

Mrs. Dena Donalson and her son Garrett shared their recent mission trip to Uganda with the GCA students on Thursday,  They thanked them for all their fundraising efforts to help with beds and even sports uniforms!!

Please donate your canned food goods to help feed the people of Bainbridge!
Food will be collected in your homerooms from November 7th - November 21st

The class that donates the most food items will enjoy a donut and hot chocolate breakfast!
