Cougars Drop Season Opener as Emmanuel Gets Their Fill of "Fish & Chips"!
Eastern Regional rival Emmanuel breaks a 3-3 tie in the 76th minute of play as the Cougars lose an exciting season opener by a score of 4-3. Kyle Harris got the Cougars started in the 29th minute with a rainbow shot from just inside the left touchline. Back-to-back scores by Seventh Graders Chase Harris ("Fish") and Alex Ward ("Chips") tied the match at 3-3 in the 70th minute. And here is the rest of it. Grayson Wood scored the game winner for the Warriors with only four minutes remaining in regulation play. The Varsity Cougars will face the Northside Methodist Academy Knights on Friday, August 28th at 5:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA. Please come and support your GCA Cougars!
