GCA Christmas Parade Float

A huge thank you to Starla Penela and the GCA Spirit Club for organizing and decorating a float for Thursday night's Christmas parade. The Spirit Club was joined by the GCA Cheerleaders and Rock the Cougar on the school float.

Annual Coat & Blanket Drive

During the annual Southwest Georgia Farm Coat & Blanket drive,

GCA students collected over 278 items to donate.

Cheerleaders Collect Games for Foster Children

After seeing a need communicated by The West Haven in Bainbridge, the GCA Varsity Cheerleaders went to work to collect games for local foster children. The West Haven's goal was 60 and our cheerleaders were able to donate 12 to the cause.

Hard Fought Win

Tuesday night all four of GCA's basketball teams played rival SGA in Damascus. Three of the four teams lost to the Warriors however the Varsity Lady Cougars prevailed.  The Cougars all play again on Saturday in Albany against Sherwood.

6th Grade Adopt a Child

During this season of giving, GCA's 6th grade class adopted an 8-year old foster boy from Decatur County with the guidance of Alle Lee from The West Haven. The students and their families were able to donate a bicycle, scooter, games, clothes, and much more. A huge thank you to the kids, Mrs. Butler, and Krista Whittaker for help in organizing the drive.

A Magical Night

GOD IS GOOD!

GCA's Winter Festival was a magical and successful night!

After Hurricane Michael, our committee decided that we would focus on a fun evening for our GCA families and friends and allow God to handle the rest. As God always does, he delivered. Our school will net $40,000 from this year's festivities.

With this money, the school plans to continue to improve our campus and learning experiences.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, attended, and purchased.

Together, led by Our Savior, we hit our goal!

Picnic at the GCA Pavillon

When the lights go out, K4 makes the best of it with a picnic outside! Mrs. Cox's students enjoyed their snack outside on Friday after GCA and most of Lake Douglas lost power for a little while.

GCA Treasure Chest Winner

Carly Brogdon and her grandmother were the winner of the 5th Annual GCA Winter Festival. Carly chose the pearl and diamond ring. Congrats Carly!!

Fun Night at GCA

At Tuesday night's Winter Festival, GCA students and friends enjoyed a lot of outside activities. Among their favorites were the CheeseMe Photo Booth and the Karaoke Booth.

Can Food Drive

Way to go GCA! 

Our elementary cheer squad hosted a can food drive the first two weeks of November and the school donated over 880 cans to the Salvation Army!

Elementary Students Visit Landmark Park

Wednesday, Mrs. Demartini’s 4th grade class and Mrs. Vickers’ 5th grade class enjoyed a field trip to Landmark Park. The children learned about working the land and making their own feast.

Coat & Blanket Drive

As the temperatures dip and as recovery from Hurricane Michael continues, Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, Grace Christian Academy and Five Points Cleaners are teaming up to hold a coat and blanket drive to help those in need. 

Gently used and new blankets, coats, scarves, and winter hats can be dropped off at any Southwest Georgia Farm Credit office, or at Grace Christian Academy in Bainbridge, through Monday, December 17th. 

Special thanks to our long-time blanket and coat drive partner, Five Points Cleaners, for cleaning all the gently used items.
