GCA 7th Graders researched, designed and built
"Marble Roller Coasters" as a science project on
"Force and Motion." Students were required to write a paper on simple machines, draw a blue print, construct a roller coaster with at least four different simple machines, keep a science journal of the sequencing and problem solving they did, and demonstrate their roller coaster while answering questions from a panel of judges. Students and judges alike were amazed at how different each roller coaster was and how each year they get better and better. This year 1st place went to Chelsey Harrell, 2nd place went to Chase Harris and 3rd Place to Brent Warr. All the coasters were awesome...way to go students!!
