6th Graders Enjoy "The Nutcracker"

A story written in 1816 by E.T.A. Hoffman in which a young girl’s favorite Christmas toy, a nutcracker, comes alive and whisks her away to a magical kingdom after defeating the mouse queen was made into a wonderful ballet. The GCA 6th graders enjoyed the beautiful story interpreted in dance at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium on December 12th. “The Nutcracker” was studied in literature class prior to the trip. The gorgeous costumes and imaginative props made the words of the story memorable. Several parents accompanied the group. After lunch together, the girls shopped for our class’s foster child together. It was an enjoyable day.
