How does Energy work?

Mrs. Harrell's 4th grade class recently participated in a science experiement involving an "egg drop" to learn more about energy.  The students were assigned partners and given the opportunity to use different types of materials to protect their egg from breaking. They learned that the egg represented potential energy, then kinetic energy as it was dropped, and then the energy was transferred to the surrounding padding.  The students really enjoyed this learning experience!!
