3rd Grader, Julian Martin was very successful growing his Bonnie cabbage this spring with a weight of 13lbs and 10oz. Bonnie Plants out of Union Springs, AL sponsors this program each year for all 3rd graders. They give each student one cabbage plant to take home and grow in their garden. Once the cabbage head matures students are asked to take a photo of their cabbage and turn it in to their teachers. Successful cabbages are then sent in for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.
