McRae and Cox Win STAR!
Jack McRae received the STAR student award for the 2015-2016 senior class and also won the System Award. He will now move on to compete on the District level. To attain the STAR recognition, the student must have the highest score on a single test date for a three-part SAT and be in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their graduating class based on GPA. The student then selects the teacher he or she feels has been the most instrumental in their academic achievement. Jack chose Mr. Richard Cox as his STAR teacher. Congratulations Jack, we are so proud of you!
Old Damascus Visits Chapel
We had an awesome guest band in Chapel on Tuesday!

5th Grade Book Projects
Our 5th grade students had the opportunity to select a project that would best explain their chosen book. They are displayed in the halls outside their classrooms.

Mrs. Worsley's 4th grade has been exploring space and learning all about our planets.
Senate Page Program
Four of our outstanding 8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in the Georgia Senate Page Program last month and work with Senator Dean Burke.
The Senate Page Program offers students age 12 and over a first-hand opportunity to visit the Capitol and observe and participate in the legislative process. Senate Pages serve the Senators by delivering important information and messages to them in the Senate Chamber during the Legislative Session day.

Coach McRae - GISA Coach of the Year
A big congratulations to Dr. Mallory McRae (Coach McRae) for being named the GISA Coach of the Year. Coach McRae is the head coach of our Cougar Basketball team.
