Fall Festivities in K3

Mrs. Parker’s K3 celebrated Halloween Wednesday with cookies, candy, and lots of other goodies!
Parents also helped create some fun fall crafts.






Mummy Fun with 3rd Grade

GCA students had a little “Mummy” fun at the 3rd Grade Fall Festival on Wednesday. 


First Grade Show Gratitude to Public Safety

First Grade students stopped by Public Safety earlier this week to drop off some goodies and thank you notes to Bainbridge’s Police Officers.
The students wanted the officers to know how much they appreciated all their hard work during Hurricane Michael and everyday.

GCA to Offer ACT Practice Test


FROM THE DESK OF GCA'S GUIDANCE COUNSELOR


GCA will offer an ACT practice test on Wednesday, November 14th.
This practice test is strongly encouraged for all 9th and 10th grade students.
The practice test will be conducted in the OS at 8:00am.
The cost of the ACT practice test is $20. You must register with Mrs. Tobin in the school office by Friday, November 9th. Please make checks payable to GCA.

Elementary Cheer Can Food Drive

 
Help the Elementary Cheerleaders
give back to our community!

The Elementary cheerleaders are asking that all of GCA’s student body bring in at least one can good item.

Can Drive will end on Friday, November 16th.

The class that brings in the most canned foods will win a pizza party.

1st Graders Receive Help with Project

First Grade students enjoyed having the Ninth Grade class help them make bird feeders on Wednesday.




Alumni John York Returns

Alumni John York spoke to GCA students today about his career path which began last Summer in Kings Point, NY with the US Merchant Marine Academy. 
GCA students enjoyed hearing from the 2018 graduate. John also brought “York” Peppermint Patties as a surprise for Halloween.
Thank you for visiting today John and educating our students and staff about the Merchant Marines.



Stormy Squirrel Visits 1st Grade


First Grade had a fun visitor Wednesday.....
Stormy Nutts Brock, a rescue squirrel came as his buddy, Cohen Brock’s Show and Tell. 
Cohen’s family rescued Stormy from a cat after Hurricane Michael. Upon rescue the squirrel only had one eye open so they took him in and have fed him for the last few weeks. 
Cohen’s dad told us he plans to release Stormy back into the wilderness soon.





HS Bible Class Collect Snacks for First Responders

GCA High School Bible classes collected snacks for local First Responders as a "Thank you" for their hard work during Hurricane Michael.
